Mexican Wedding Music
A traditional Mexican wedding will not be complete without the use of Mexican wedding food and music.
The traditional foods in a Mexican wedding include spicy rice, chicken and beef tortilla dishes and beans. Sangria is served in a Mexican wedding reception. It is a cold drink made out of white or red wine, brandy, fruit juice, sugar, and soda water.
Mariachi is the only thing that is more Mexican than tequila. This goes beyond music because it is the sum of the revolution of the Mexican culture that is expressed through this group of musicians dressed in charro suits that take in the essence of the country and its people. Mariachi is something cultural, traditional and spiritual that is unique to Mexico itself. It is an experience not to be missed in any Mexican wedding music.
Most Mexican weddings will use the Mariachi at the end of the wedding ceremony to serve part of the recessional. Mariachi music is known to be a Mexican ranch music that is why the group dress as cowboys. Mariachi is part of Mexican wedding music and includes the use of trumpets, guitars, drums, harps and violins as well. If not dressed as cowboys, the men wear black suits and silver-laced pants. The Mariachi can also dress in white. The music that comes from the Veracruz region is played by the Mariachi more delicately.
The incorporation of salsa, flamenco guitar and merengue of the Mariachi adds Latin flare to the wedding reception. With the Mariachi as the Mexican wedding music, the reception will be a venue for such big festivity.
